Hope for the Diabetic

Are you a diabetic? Diabetes is in quickly catching up with heart disease and cancer these days. 2011 statistics say that there are 25.8 million people in the United States, or 8.3% of the population, who have diabetes.

If you don't have Diabetes personally; then you probably know someone who does. It affects so many people we love.

I had the privilege to work with a friend that had Diabetes. His weight was through the roof, energy in the tank, eating habits horrible, vision impaired and overall health...scary. But, this friend of mine came to me for help. He had tried "everything" and "nothing" was working.

I shared with him the solutions I had starting with the 24 Day Challenge. He was thrilled. He made the decision right then and there that he wanted to gain back his health. He started on the 24 Day Challenge and lost numerous pounds, had to continue to cut his belt down and re-notch it, and when he went to the Dr. he told him to continue whatever he was doing because it was working. He began his journey to health and new life.

I enjoyed every moment of working with this man and his needs. He was Dr. approved and feeling great!

Now the sad part of the story. Life got in the way, stress began to surmount and he stopped pouring into his body healthy nutrition. It wasn't long before his weight increased, his moods decreased and he was right back to where he started. A few months later, out of desperation, he decided to have a gastric bypass. I don't know much about the gastric bypass except that for some it has worked and for some it has not. My friend was looking for a quick fix, instead of changing his lifestyle.

He spent the next few weeks in the hospital with complications from the surgery and after many attempts to rectify the situation he died. This was a TRULY sad day for ALL. He was a dearly loved friend and father.

I tell you this story because it grieves me so to see anyone desire health so badly that they will go to great lengths and only lose their life.

In Advocare we change lives with healthy nutrition, encouraging coaching, credible science, and long term relationships. Had my friend stayed on the healthy road with Advocare he would still be with us today, and his family and friends wouldn't be missing this first Christmas without him.

Please friends, do yourself a favor this Holiday season. Give yourself the GIFT of HEALTH. You have been given only one body and one life. Life is so worth living....live it to it's fullest.

Below are some testimonies of those with Diabetes and how Advocare has changed their lives:

"My mom is type 2. She has lot over 60 lbs with the products and her blood work has improved drastically. She is using 1/4 of the medications she used to, to control sugar. Almost off of it. She uses all the products in the Challenge plus some and has had no issues."

"My dad is type 2 and he did the challenge and then added Carbease and Fibotrim. He lost 24 lbs and 12 inches on the challenge and his heart dr told him to keep doing what he had been doing!!"

"I have a diabetic client that has the pump and still had trouble controlling her blood sugar. I started her on the challenge before Thanksgiving. She said her levels have never been so good!"

Don't  let Diabetes keep you or someone you know from experiencing optimal health! Give them the GIFT of HEALTH this Holiday Season.
